Since 1987
Our Story
A small-town café with a big heart and even bigger portions.
It all started with a cast iron skillet
In 1987, Earl and Betty Mae Thompson opened a 12-seat diner on Main Street with nothing but a dream, a handful of family recipes, and the best biscuit dough this side of the Tennessee River.
Word spread fast. Folks came for the food but stayed for the feeling — that warm, unhurried comfort of being somewhere that felt like home. Within a year, they'd knocked out the back wall and doubled the seating.
Today, their granddaughter Sarah runs the kitchen with the same commitment to scratch-made cooking and genuine hospitality. The recipes haven't changed. The skillet is still seasoned. And there's always a seat at the counter.

Our Values
Made with Love
Every dish is prepared with care, using family recipes passed down through three generations.
Locally Sourced
We partner with local farms for our eggs, produce, and dairy. Fresh is always better.
Community First
We sponsor the little league team, host church breakfasts, and keep the coffee pot warm for everyone.
Always Fresh
Bread baked daily, pies made from scratch, coffee brewed in small batches throughout the day.
Come hungry, leave happy.
